Can't extract error codes

I have been trying to extract the error code from my VT II shorting out pin 5 and 6 and turning on the ignition
but the check engine light will not flash at all.
Any hints ?

With the ss i you will need to got holden and get tech 2....


Ithink thats the only way to get the codes out

BOGANV8 is correct, series 2 will have the LS1, which means it requires a Tech2. Doesn't necessarily have to be a Holden dealer though, any mechanic worth his salt will also have the right gear.
