I have 2002 vu ute and it stops when I still have almost 3 quarters of a tank and goes again when I put more fuel

You sure the fuel gauge is reading correctly?

Definitely I also put new fuel pump and new fuel regulator

Also I suspected that about the fuel gage but when I changed the fuel pump I could see that I had 3 quarters

Maybe the filters are blocked and when you top it up it may unblock the filter by the swirl of the petrol in the tank just momentarily. Just a thought.

Maybe the breather pipe is blocked causing a vacuum and stopping the fuel flow, and when you open the fuel filler it releases the vacuum. When you take the fuel cap off does it make a noise like air being sucked in .
