Why do all the mods here shut down anything resembling intelligent thought and differences of opinion. I always thought that a discussion relies on people having different views. Why keep general discussion areas on this site if you cant discuss anything that requires independent thought and reasoning. The people that bring discussions down by name calling etc should be punished not the people who are trying to have an intelligent conversation. I notice now that most of these topics dont even get off the ground now before they are shut down. Like the one just shut down about super sixes vs eights. No one had even said a bad word about anyone and most people were even sympathising with the other side, so why shut it down. I dont see how it was going to turn into a full blown argument.

it's been closed because it was labled as a pointless thread. all i can posibly think of it was posted in the wrong section where a post count will apply. so ill move it to the pub, re-open it, if it's closed again, hopefully there is a reason given and we will be able to act on it then.

I have looked at the thread myself and see no reason for it to be deleted, as long as it remains on it's current 'happy' levels it's staying.
