They are T3 leds.
You can get them of ebay like I did.
And no...you don't have to worry about any of that b#ll s##t soldering.
They come with the housing already attached and ready to install.
Just plug and play
Here is a couple of eBay links......

Brilliant! Thanks Nut Kracker. My only concern with the links you've shared with me are that, in the images I don't see the two metal "wings" on them. Isn't this what creates contact with the board when they're connected to complete the circuit? Maybe I'm wrong.
I'm not saying that they won't work, I just don't see them.
Thanks for the information and taking the time to share some ebay links with me!

Yes, they are the contacts, but it's because they are after market.
If you look closely, you will see that they have what looks
like wire, where they connect to the board.
They just have different contacts, that's all. The original ones I took out of my car didn't have the metal wings.
They will fit. In fact, the ones I got, contact better to the board than the factory ones.
As long as they are "T3", they will fit.

I have a similar issue with the climate control on my VT. One of the lights has gone, and only half the display is clearly visible. During the day it's OK, but at night it's a little difficult to see.

Anyway, will these instructions be sufficient for that job too?

i had the same problem with my statesman.

now for the people who don't want to solder or pay 6 bucks for a bulb, first go to ebay and buy some t3 led (usual price is $4 for 10 leds)
once you have pulled the bulbs out, straighten the bulb leads and pull it out of the housing

4

now pull the led apart (straighten leads and remove housing)

5

now on the original housing one of the holes needs to be enlarged
easiest way i found was with a small set of needle nose nail scissors

6

housing modification

7

insert the led into the housing, making sure the resistor side of the led goes through the hole made earlier

8

now just re-bend the legs the same way the old bulbs were, also you may fit the green boots over the leds to give it a oem look

and she's good to go.

So much joy to do this

Remove side panels centre console
Remove fascia
Remove screws holding it all down. Bottom of centre console storage and sides
Remove centre console

Now hoping you don't need to do that and only the fascia

Using tape, push button in on gear select and tape down
There's a pin on the stem you need to tap out
Also screw at forward side of the gear stick

Remove then you have the gear selector plate in ya grubby hands

There are guides out there and mine is rough as guts

Vt Berlina 3 Level Dash Cluster

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone knows if the 3 lights (behind the odometer, fuel consumption & over speed) are replaceable & where i might be able to get some from on the Gold coast?

While i was at the commodore wreckers today, i asked 1 of the guys if they knew where to get some because i've had the cluster out & know that those 3 bulbs are different to the rest in the dash cluster.
His reply was "those 3 are crystals & once there gone, there's no replacing them to re illuminate that part of the cluster, the only thing you can do is to replace the whole cluster!"

Can anyone out there let me know if this is true or not? The cluster still works fine, the only thing is i cant see those 3 parts of the dash at night unless i drive past a streetlight.

Any help is muchly appreciated.

Cheers Tom
