Best wheels Holden have ever fitted IMO (and Ive had a couple). I use the wheels stereo controls almost exclusively and would rather have an airbag in the face than a metal spoke..

*sigh* Anyhoo:
1) Disconnect battery and remove SRS fuse - wait 20 minutes or so
2) Clips x4 are on the back of the airbag (flat blade screwdriver (left handed one is best))
3) 30mm socket or on some models an allen/torx bolt holds it on.
4) Remove wheel by pulling (the wheel that is)
4) Install SAAS wheel, jellybean mags and fuffy dice. Done

Enjoy uninsurable, unroadworthy and unsafe car with disco error lights :)

Air bag light comes up coz you don't have an airbag.
You can get it cleared but it will come back up straight away.

Or you could just leave it in, not have to worry about the light and potentially save your own life in the process... just a crazy thought.

"use sticky tape bro" seen it done before at work to cover the light

nah but seriously whats the point of "downgrading the steering wheel", looks stupid, unsafe, doesn't make it go any faster and can end up with a defect if a cop spots it

Why?

end up with a defect if a cop spots it

And he will be driving around uninsured, but as the OP says in his original post when it came to his airbag "don't crash it, won't need it".......man I am glad I live 2000km away from your stupidity.

Ahh, just as I start to get bored JC comes and delivers quality threads like this. I didn't think it was still school holidays?

Havent found anythg about this but noticed no1 changes thier **** steering wheel y???? Cause u lose buttons tht i dnt even use? And a airbag ,, dnt crash u wont need ittt but how do i go about taking it off without the airbag blowing up in my face and wht do the mounts look like? Will most wheels bolt right up?

You sir, are a tool. Firstly, this isn't a text message so write properly so we don't have to sound every word out to understand what your saying.

Secondly, as everyone else has said, it's highly illegal, the cops will defect you in a flash, no insurance company will touch you, and well its just plain stupid. Want a better steering wheel; some of the HSV ones were more shapely with thicker rim.

I actually doubt any of the aftermarket steering wheels would have boss kits to suit, as there isn't a market for them (because most people aren't that stupid)
