Don't do it man, not worth the defect. We spoke about this earlier!

Not worth the time and money to get approval just for a set of HIDs.

Trust me, just buy high and low beam Philips Xtreme Vision +100s. You WON'T be disappointed.

Agree to both.

The std headlight lens will scatter the light making it blinding to others.
Something like a VY Berlina with projector style headlamps is better for HIDs as the light remains focused.

I upgraded the globes in mine, they seem to be fine and I do a a fair bit of country night driving.

Philips Xtreme Vision +100s are brighter than my Philips Crystal Vision 4300Ks. But both produce a white HID like light. H4 high beam, H3 low beam you need. The set usually comes with parker globes too.

I bought my set from Autobahn Mt Isa for $200, the Xtreme Visions were the same price. They just didn't have any in.

So for $200 you can get an ADR approved and non defect and an awesome headlight set.
Or
You get a cheap set of HIDs and then get defected and fork out $300 plus to fix it.

The choice is yours.
