By making the exhaust louder you will upset the neighbours who in turn will call the cops who will then defect your car and very likely charge you with 'hoon' driving. Car has a holiday in the Police compound, you walk, catch a bus/train or ride a bike. When your car is ready to be picked up, you pay the towing and storage costs, then have your exhaust repaired so that you can get the defect cleared. All because YOU wanted to make some extra noise. Grow up. It's gonna be expensive !!

Just get a cat back exhaust for a few hundred dollars, put it in yourself.

supercharged vt II acclaim
cut the rear muffler off and go to exhaust shop with a bin out the front and grab a bit of pipe thats the same shape n cut it n bash it till it fits. i've done it a few times, its easy, its louder but not any quicker. bloody bargin:spot on: or get an exhaust shop to do it, i were quoted 80-$100

i wouldnt really go cheap on an alloytec, i put 460 on mine for a walker 2.5" single cat back exhaust and it sounded amazing !! i have now added 2 hi flo cat coverters for 500 though and another 700 for pacemaker extractors.

I agree with you mate.. if its an 's' i assume he means SV6 which means its the 190kw motor, definately not something to skimp on.

as you said in your OP, the only way you wont spend money is by deleting the rear muffler yourself.
