Cleaning Fuel Injectors on a VT?

would anyone know if ls1 injectors fit a v6? and if they will improve fuel flow?.

normaly people with LS1s do the opposite and and get supercharged V6 injectors as a upgrade with modest upgrades

Hi All,

Was going to buy some reconditioned injectors from Ebay, but the brand new cheap ones are not that much more in price, just wondering what peoples thoughts are on the following two, there is a price difference between them, but do they do the same job for a 2000 VT 3.8 ecotech engine?

took em out turned upside down left carby cleaner in them over night,mate made me up a connector basically the injector top cap with longer leads for power and earth ,have an old car battery lying around and used the air compressor,used power to turn them on so they opened and closed while putting compressed air through them and carby cleaner $15 for the brand new o'rings and Vaseline to help to put them on easy as just like uniacidz said,you know when they are blocked as nothing comes out just add more carby cleaner was a very kewl learning experience,when you see them spray a fine mist all good to put back in

I simply unclip the input fuel rail hose (using a special* tool), drain it into a glass, fill it with carby cleaner and reconnect it.

She splutters for a while when cranking but comes good eventually sounding really smooth.

Much cheaper that those snake-oil fuel additives.

* special tool is just a thin plastic tube spliced down one side.
