How come the redline for the GTO is 6500? Monaros are 5500 or 6000 aren't they?

i know this is a vz forum but i have a few questions bout the vy clusters

1) will a cluster that came out of an auto work in a manual?
2) will a calais cluster work in my ute (isnt even an s pac) if i get it re-programed?

If it has the same colour plug (grey) and you get it programmed to suite your car - auto, tyres, diff & air bags - it should work no problems.

The question about the Calais trip computer functions working - they did in my VZ when I put the WL cluster in. I just set of the air bag alarm and had to get it reset the next day.

does anyone know were to get the tech2 program and cable from.. and i rang my holden dealer and said it cant be done.. more like dont want touch it..

Don't be tempted to buy the "Tech2" cables from eBay - they only work with Euro Holdens - definitely NOT Commodores, and a lot of the parameters can't be written, only read.
