hey fellas, need help with a file i downloaded.

i managed to download a holden service manual off limewire and once it had finished, it was automaticaly made into a 'sonic record now' file which is bloody useless to use at it only allows me to put the file onto a cd. when i try and open it as a pdf file it wont allow me as it says its not compatiable with this program. so my question is: how do i open it as a pdf or something?

thanks for the help,

cheers.

As Philthy said, I think you may have downloaded an .iso image, therefore you need to mount it using a program like poweriso

what do you mean by 'mount' the iso?

an ISO file is a disc image file... Basically, its an exact copy of a CD or DVD which you can then use to burn to another blank disc...

Mounting an ISO means you use a program which treats the ISO as a real disc. You load the iso into the program and it replicates the funcitonality of a real disc.

The easiest thing for you to do is burn the iso onto a disc and then copy the files onto your Hard Drive.

Load up a CD/DVD burning program and find the option to "Burn ISO". Choose your file and then write the disc.

After that, just copy off what you need.

aZk.
