Correct Oil

Just wondering, when you get your car serviced at holden what oil do they use? (For a VZ SS LS1 auto) and how much oil does it take?

10W/30 is the recommended weight and sump capacity is 6 litres I believe. I use 10W/40.

Mobil 1 5W50 is what i use m8

cheers - as i don't have the service manual im after a correct figure for how much oil it takes?

Put 6 litres in it not 5. 5 is not enough.

I think you'll find they take 6 litres, I use 10/40 full synthetic and buy it in 6 litre containers and put the whole 6 litres in every 7500klms.

I bought mobil 1 5w-30 5 litres n changing the oil today.. this could be interesting.. might need another litre ;p

5.7-6.0 depending on how long you let it drain for.
