Cracked rear subframe

Hi everyone. Has anyone out there had a cracked rear subframe in there commodore. I have a 94 VR SS and mines cracked been welded and cracked again. Is this common and what causes it. Any ideas?

common on v8's.u need to reinforce the subframe

Worked on a VS SS BT1 and couldn't believe the negative camber and height of rear until I put it up on the hoist and found the subframe snapped in half where the diff bolts up.
