It sounds like you have a good car.not some dangerous piece of crap that we don't want on the road.You don't have to take the car "over the pits".You just need an RWC from a mechanic who's licenced to write one.I'd look for a half dodgy car yard (you have your choice from dozens up here)and find out where they get their RWC's.Take it there and pay the man.Job done......If per chance it doesn't pass,you still can drive on your Tassie rego and find another one.

Good dodgy advice right there. He does not need to do any of that as the car will pass, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT!
