crane 284 with 10:1 comp and standard inlet manifold

Mate had 286 10:1 and bananas in 304. Thing was a weapon.

That sounds like it might be the best stepping stone if that is the case. Rather than 284, go the 286 ( I will need new springs as well though), run it with the nanas and when I get sick of that (or can afford it) throw on a new mani for some more hp and fun!
