Just a question to Lou. Lets say having a 10 to one compression with VN Group A twin throttle, will this solve the low speed miss fire?

Compression needs to be matched to the cam. Induction needs to be matched to the cam as well.

Start your own thread, as this isn't really relevant and major thread dig, I don't think this guy has posted in a while either....

Give all your engine info etc

Cheers

Hi Guys,

My setup consist of the following.

304
VN Group A Block ( 4 Bolt)
VN Group A D Port heads ( ported and polished)
VN Group A extractors with twin cat and 2.5" twin to rear
VN Group A injectors
VN Group A manifold
12mm Manifold spacer
larry perkins intake
9:5 Comp
Crane 284
3.73 diff gears
auto.

It was dynoed with Kalmaker at 211RWKW which is very good IMO however made this power at high end 6,500 ( nearly 200KM/hr) and is very sluggish off the line.....

am considering 3K stall / new cam / 355

any idea / feedback

thanks
Daniel

some rambling thoughts,
vpgts bloke - 211 seems pretty good to me. with 3.7's you say it does notmove so 2thoughts come to mind.
First - ur 9.5 may not be 9.5. maybe 308 flats machined from chev slugs and not told to you ( as 9.5 should get the job done imo even thogh it ends up as 7ish+ dynamic). but it does have 211kw when wound up , so
Second - maybe cam retarded - chain or sprocket problem (maybe cam itself). If your builder dialled the cam it should be on 107 degrees intake (or very very close). A couple of degrees advance will bring your torque curve back in your rpm range. What does ur builder say about the torque curve?

and thirdly - what did the AFR's do through the mid range? Did it fatten up?
