Crank no start - need help

My v6 tonner drove fine but an hour after parking the key barrel wouldn't move.
Sprayed penetrative fluid in and she turned.
Cranks for 5-7s then stops completely, still has svs and srs lights and can steer

I have tried
Checking fuses with multimeter
Spray in intake to try give it fuel
Had a look at maf - it's clean

The ignition barrel/lock is rooted.
Possible the switch on the back is rooted as well. Both are cheap and easy to do.

The penetrant may have damaged the ignition switch mounted to the back of the lock.

Is there anyway I can jig it up to make her start without spending much money?

The key has to contact the slip ring.
The proper repair shown in the link is not expensive.
