Cricket like sound: VF SV6

So I've been looking at upgrading to a VF SV6 ute for quite some time and came across a nice Fantale Orange coloured one. All looks good apart from a few paint chips which I can easily fix up myself. Upon starting up the vehicle a cricket like noise begins. Almost like a squeaky belt or something. Is this normal for an SV6 because I have seen some people have had the same thing. Or should I stay away from this one?

That one sounds almost truck like. The VF is more like a lighter cricket sound but it's not too far off.

lift the bonnet and have good listen the sound could be muffled with it shut and listening through the grill and whats the service history

Yep, normal.

All SIDI engines make this sound. Apparently it’s the high pressure fuel pump combined with injectors. Some are louder than others for some reason.
