Dash cam

Hi. In a ZB Calais v can a dash cam be fitted directly under the rear vision mirror, or is there sensors there that the camera will block. Also how does the cylinder shut down work and do you need the stop start function left on. Thank you for any info. I've looked but can't find the answer.

I don't think there'd be any issues fitting the dash cam below the mirror.

The auto stop/start can be disabled each time you start the car with a button in front of the gear selector. It's the button with a circular arrow around an "A"

Thank you for response. Do you know if the ZB calias v has cylinder shut down as part of the fuel savings., whilst cruising on light throttle.

Pretty sure ZB V6 has cylinder shutdown, like AFM in VE Vf V8 6.0 auto

Yes the V6 has active fuel management. I've had as low as 6.4 l/100km for the last 100 km. It can be very economical.

Thankyou for the info, I've looked in the manual and can't find how to activate it. Does it work automatically and does a light come on in the instrument cluster to advise its active.

It's automatic, there is no light to show when it's active.
