What gears have people used/recommend for a auto Ve ss (stock 2.92 gears). And what difference does it make to performance/economy?

best off with 3.45 as any higher will be changing gears to much with the 6sp auto

Was actually considering 3.45 already, just wanted to get people's opinions!

Have otr, 4 into 1 1 7/8 ceramic coated headers, 3" outlaw cats, 3" xforce exhaust and tune. Planning on cam kit, AFR Mongoose heads hi vol oil pump and stall (depending on cam)

3.27's are a good ratio also for the auto's. This ratio is used in auto HSV's.

3.27 gets you the best 1/4 mile times.

3.7 best for every day driving and very fast from lights but you need good tyres

3.45 wouldn't bother. Might as well go 3.7 for the money

2.9 with converter is what the yanks use.

I was going with 3.45s, but have since changed my mind to 3.7s. Looking to do them soon.
