Diff question

:hmmm:Hi all a dumb question but hey i dont know so im asking! Do i have an LSD in my VY 03 commodore it has traction control and was told that if you have T/C you should have a factory LSD is this a true statement or is someone blowing smoke up my ass it is a V6 executive model

Blowing smoke mate, it shouldn't have a LSD if its a base model commodore

Easiest conversion would be to purchase the VY SS diff + driveshafts. As far as I'm aware they fit.

Just check the tag on the diff it will say ratio and lsd.
The ones that say high performance are not a lsd diff.
A lsd diff can be had cor anywhere from 200 to 1000 on ebay.

3.46 LSD out of a manual SS is what you want. From VT to VZ iirc

My 2003 S1 VY executive has a LSD. but mine is a ex-cop car.

Yes ex cop cars have an LSD too. Honestly though, you'd be better of getting an Eaton or Harrop trutrak or even better, a KAAZ LSD center. The Holden ones are pieces of **** and require re-shimming as they start to single spin once the springs in them lose tension. You will save money long term.
