Diff slap?

Vt ss commodore sedan ls1 6 spd manual ,
At rolling idel speed I can here somthing slapping like clonking from the rear,what would that possibility be?

won't be torque convertor as his car is manual.

Oh yep just noticed

if its slapping dont drive the car at speed till checked

check solid universals
and nuts for tension (wrecker price about $50 )
check drive shalft (does yours have two bits or one long single)
next live axels to tyres
calipers
check exhaust system/mounts

might not be diff problem at all

rubber donuts at the end of the shafts worn?

2 part tailshaft ,the rubber donut should be about 1 year old but from what I was reading there known to flog out ,
I'll have to check it all when I get home and put it on the hoist,
How do you tell if the cv joints or live axel shafts are buggered?

shafts will just break and unless you have a locker the car won't move, so it won't be that

i just gave a checklist as well
to cross off
as you look it over while under there
old habit from servicing days
