hey Matt, a diode will fix that, must be a bit of leakage through transistor in BCM
wire exactly the same as others with band towards switch (and wire cut LOL)
after diode is in, if you still have a problem will be water or corosion in door switch

lmao leave me alone bahahaha thanks for that man i'm still yet to try it just got back from echuca so havnt had a chance... but i'll try it soon =) it is it water can i dry it and wrap it in tap or will i need to get a new switch and wrap that? (I'll obviously look for a leak aswell)
