Very interesting thread, and everything looks awesome. Question for the more knowledgable though. I have access to spray gear but would i be saving myself a bit of effort by priming with rollers? Car is very straight so minimal prep work, a coat of prime, big sand and then spray colour?

Could save me a bit of work

VS S3 Ute
Wilso you've inspired me to try this method on my vs ute. I've been wanting it gloss black for a while but dont have the cash for the job. Had a bit of experience in a spray/panel shop and I've got a mate who'd be keen to help me out as we'd be doing the same to his pulsar so hopefully it'll turn out well. Be doing a few practice runs on some shitty panels first.

Hey,

Great job Wilso,

Just wondering why your paint job seems to have a greater shine than TVR-161 VN.

Willl be staring on my vl calais in the next couple of weeks.

Cheers

My last coat on all the panels I made sure was perfect (ie: no bubbles and made sure it spread evenly) therefore giving it such a "wet/shiney" look. Then just polish and wax :)
