Ok so i recently bought a Vy s pac with around 130,000km on the clock, and I've noticed no matter the conditions the temp gauge sits around halfway. Is that a bit high for just general daily use? It looks lower in the photo, but its pretty much sitting on halfway. Also the radiator is full & so is the overflow bottle.

No that's normal operating temp. My vy would get to that and not move. Even on a 43 degree day with the air con blasting in stop start traffic. You have nothing to worry about.

Anything between 1/4 and 1/2 is the norm in every commodore I've owned

That's where the needle should sit.
You can check what the actual temperature is by holding down the 'mode' and 'set' buttons together while at the same time turning the ignition key on. Will show engineering mode in the dash where you can scroll through menu to see engine temperature.
