I service my car myself, but most likely it was abused on the test drive. I work in a truck workshop and its our job to kane the living hell out of anything we test drive. As far as a mechanic is concerned, the more problems he can find, the better he does.

So I strongly reccomend looking for problems yourself or specifically telling the service centre not to drive the car on the road, only drive it in and out of the service bays.

Got the brake shoe adjusted, no test drive this time. Seems to have solved the problem. Hopefully wont have to worry about anything for at least another year. By then I will have found someplace else to do the servicing for me anymore.

I forgot to mention that the major service I had a week ago cost me $900, more than half of that was labour cost alone. Nothing out of the ordinary was done according to the invoice I got, just the brake pads were expensive as hell. I'm sure I'd save a lot if I take the car somewhere else for servicing.

So that was 3500 Riyal?

You should adjust the HB shoe yourself. It's very easy.

No, that was for the entire service, still alot. After that, everything they messed up was fixed for free. I'm not a mechanic, neither is dad. My old man believes that the GM service center do an excellent job, gets really peeved off when I tell him they're doing more harm than good. After these few incidents, and the crazy price, he's considering servicing it elsewhere anymore.
