Hi all...recently i had a engine fitted from a wreckers..a good engine too! however i am wondering what it was from? as in what holden ? and what series it is.....the old engine was a VH XXX XXX and i was told that was a vt engine...series 1 found in vt's only.....the replacement is VA XXX XXX as far as i know nothing was changed in computer of anything...it was a staight heart for heart transplant......
so if someone can clear this up for me it be great... cause i got a second question?
my son bought a vs and its a equip......the original engine from it was removed and replaced ....
i like to know what it would have had in it as in V? series engine...and what series run..as in 1 or 2...
his issue is ...its now got a VA XXX XXX as well....which we dont know what they are ...be that series 1 or 2 and out of what holden?
the problem he has ...is the rear of the engine has clip wire point..we think is the ECU connector?
the car runs but sucks -- drinks fuel without this clipped...our question is how to clip this VA engine to vs harness...
is it a simple job or what...?
what do we do ...to get it going...?
If its not the ECU what is is it,,,because its the only connector we found unlinked...and the vs is sucking 5l/100km more than it should...
If we need ask question 2 in the vs section a ok
so we like to find out what we got...first and from what...most likely donour...
what series they are?
and in my sons case what do we need to do to complete his cars transplanet from old engine to this new one in the vs..
Many thanks
