Yeah, acid eats concrete, why you only use a mild solution and wash out after but creates a nice clean surface for paint to bond to.
Not sure how old my garage was when I bought here , guessing 15 to 20 years.
Did this and painted floor when I first moved in, that was 11years ago and it's still good.
Even got a section where there's mig weld splatter and while you can say it burnt paint it's still intact and is more like it's stained.

John, that coating is great unless you are working on your car, very hard to find the dropped nut or washer quickly with that pattern
It does look good though but I bet it was pricey.

Agree with the others, you MUST acid etch the concrete or the coating will come off over time. I used the hydrochloride acid from Bunnings. Make sure you mix it into the water not the other way around.
