yeah you would want to put on a cold air intake (CAI) better exhaust. alot of people have quoted that a pod filter has great results for fuel economy, ESPECIALLY ON LPG!, wouldnt bother if there wasnt as good cai tho

Imagine you did take the air bags out to try and improve fuel economy, then died because your airbag wasn't there in an accident. I'd rather have **** fuel economy, lol
I think someone needs to be pulled out of the sar-chasm..

I get about 500 maximum, and that's from granny footing.. It's also off 98 RON petrol.. I get about 400-450 generally of a tank of LPG..

What you're getting is awesome.. But if you want to improve it more..

1. Don't carry anything in your car.. Remove the seats, spare tyre, jack, head unit, air bags and all that other useless stuff..

2. Keep your tyres inflated properly..

3. Try not to get above 3000RPM's.. Don't be afraid to granny foot..

4. Use cruise whenever sensible..

5. Coast upto traffic lights, try not to stop, just ease upto them and ease away from them

6. Fit a better CAI, get the engine breathing better.. DIY or buy a kit..

7. If you're still not happy with you're fuel consumption.. Buy another car..

There's heaps more of these tips.. Forget em.. You're probably doing most of them to get 700km from a tank..

Correction
4. Cruise control uses more fuel.

If your careful, using your foot rather than cruise control with use less fuel.

Try not to accelerate up hills. Try to hold your speed or even let a few kmph fall.
Accelerate down hills. Put your foot in a little, and I mean a little.

Are you certain? We did lots of long distance driving and cruise control seemed to get us more milage.. I have no concrete figures though..

I'd be interested to hear what Dr. Bob has to say on the matter..

yeah cos you see when you hit a alope it will drop down a gear sooner then if it was off so it keeps the speed all the time, while drivign a whiel ago dad had the cruise on (vs berlina) and at one point it went to 5000rpm

You do need to pay more attention to regulate your speed with cruise control off. You'll use more fuel if you're constantly speeding up and slowing down.

Cruise control is often too aggressive.

my work week average is 9.6/100 in a 16 year old vn manual also i disagree with the accelerate down hills you put it in neutral and roll as far as possible.

and i disagree with the not accelerating up hills aswell you should try and remain at peak torque in the appropriate gear for the speed
