Got the photos and and writings from when the Great Grandfather crossed from Melbourne to Perth in 1929 on his 1927 motorbike.
Just the photos and recollections was absolutely nuts.
Roads? What roads.....
Make a wrong turn and skip a water tower (which he did, but it worked out in the end) and it was easy to get into trouble.

Those early travellers were definitely adventurous.
