There are infra red camera's I believe being used in SA which gives them the ability of getting you from both directions, I reckon I saw one last week out the front of work on Park terrace at Bowden, it's like a flash looking thing sitting on the passenger side.

The corner of Stud + Ftg Roads has one of those duals, it flashes like a strobe.

So does the one at High Street and Springvale Road. We are always at the pub there on the corner (Mountain View aka The Spew) and it goes off its head.

I laugh sometimes at how many suckers get done on intersections with obvious cameras. Some people truly live in a different world

Its pretty funny when most of them have a sign saying "Speed Cameras Are Used In Victoria" or some crap about 50 meters before it.

Legislation was passed in SA (and i would think they were following other states) that they can't take a photo from the front. In case they 'blind' you and cause a crash.

I don't get that because what about the cars travelling in the opposite direction? Its just as dangerous to them having lights flashed in their face

haha, the cameras in roadside cars in Melb generally take both directions on small roads. I've sat and watched them for a while, and consistently noticed them picking up traffic moving towards, and away from. On a hill.

hahaha, I live right next to that one. It's at the end of a LONG downhill run from Springfield road. Downhill for about half a mile to the freeway overpass, and they've slung it just around a corner at the bottom of the hill. LOVE IT. Seen so many suckers get done there ^^ There's no doubt that camera has payed for itself many times over
