Thats pretty good.

I like it when manufacturers and their engineers put in a bit of effort and extract more power from smaller capacities, rather than going for a larger donk and using less thinking like Holden does.

Agreed, I have been discussing this engine for past 6 months with a friend who is a design engineer at ford. In the tests they have done in moderate and aggressive tunes, the engine sounds damned impressive. No doubt holden will now come out with a 12.8 litre monstrosity just to keep all the fan boys happy. GM are too 1940's to come up with a whole new smaller engine that delivers just as much and more as their oversized tanks.

umm, isn't that exactly what they have been doing with the sidi 3.6 and 3.0?
