So you get better fuel economy around town?
I think most people would be extremely happy with 10L/100km around town.

fuel: 98
city: 15 - 16L / 100km. avg speed woulld be very low, will have to check some time. work is a 2 min drive and dont get over 50km/h
country: 9.3 - 10L / 100km.

Oopss Stupid me , those figures need to be reversed, I get 11.5/12? per 100 Ks in the city and Burbs....
Also place take into consideration that the top highway speed over here is 100KPH, and the majority of inner city/ suburbs stuff is 50KPH
Give me 110+like in my Home town of Perth any day......
My Mistake guys
Sorry for that.......

I had a 3.6, V6, auto, Executive sedan - a great car. I only ever used "standard" 91 ULP.
I fuelled up at Wellington NSW, and got to Wilcannia on one tankful - 702 km on the trip meter. Didn't have much left: put 72L into a 72L tank. I was towing a trailer with a large motorbike on it, and set the cruise-control on 110 kph.

The next day - same trailer, etc, I wanted to get home to Darwin a bit quicker, so when I left Port Augusta, I set the cruise-control to 130. I ran out of petrol before I got to Coober Pedy - 460 km on the trip meter. I was carrying a jerry-can, so the only adverse consequence was having to stand in the sun for 5 minutes. Since then, I've generally kept myself to speeds about 110 kph - faster is just too expensive.

Since then, I've moved to a 3.0L SIDI with 6-speed auto. The best I've got out of that is 898 km for a tankful, but there was a lot of rain and I didn't often get above 100 kph.
