Probably heat sheilds. Get rid of 'em.

Heat shields are there for a reason!.

To the OP try installing non metallic washers, where the shield bolts on. That's another way to stop the noise.

if the power steer level is low put some nulon power steer treatment in it. it mostly stops the leaks but yet again depends on how bad the leak is for the additive is to stop it.

since it seems to be "pinging" under load, you may want to take your mechanic for a drive and see what he/she says.
