Would you like LPG (Vapor Mixer, Vapor Injected or Liquid Injection) on your car or do you think its for cheap skates.
I never would of thought of putting gas on my car til i found i get the same power and great fuel economy plus 80 cents cheaper, but i still hate having those big red LPG signs on my number plate cause you feel like cheap skate!
I've got a feeling it could be a one sided poll!!!

OK so i have a mixer setup on my car, not the best but beats paying for petrol when driving under normal circumstances... switch to petrol when i want to give it some, so no dramas there.

in an ideal world i'd have liquid injection, but it's more suited for newer cars.

now lets see the people who've never tried lpg come in and tell everyone it's **** ;)

i voted vapour injection cos its what i have on my car. the system works well. cant fault it yet. i get roughly 4-600 kms per tank of gas and the same power as petrol. cant complain really.

oh and i like the gas stickers on the plates. people just think you'r cars slow that way.

coming from a buzz box into a emotech, i dont really see the need for going to lpg, its costing me ~$20 bucks more a week as i do freeway nearly all the time. id rather spend that and not lose boot space/power.

The money you save on the cheaper LPG would be reinvested on the installation cost of the LPG system and the reconditioning of your valve seats when you find out they have worn out prematurely due to the extra heat created by LPG. They only system I would ever consider getting would be the factory LPG as fitted to VT's. With that system if you gun it the ecu injects some petrol in to the engine aswell to help protect the valves.

You just contradicted yourself Steve as the Heads are same on factory lpg setups and non setups. If you speak to many head specialist, most will tell you its more to do with the tune you have, not too rich or lean either way, and many dont change them when reco'ing as they claim can cause more issues down the track. My personal opinion is i run a Moreys Lube kit, and if i were to recondition my heads, i would do the seats in any case, but i have spoken to places like Headspec and they are hesitant to replace the seats as the seats are hardened already to run unleaded fuel.
