Has IOS 14.4 broken Bluetooth audio streaming?

the bad part is only apple will be tasked to fix it because i doubt holden/gm will supply an update for the old mylink.
i wonder if it is broken on the next gen systems found in the my17+ models.

I recall iOS 8 left many VE owners unable to connect to their cars. I think series 1 was a Bluetooth 1.0. The series 2 was glitchy in how it connected, yet was never resolved by apple because they don’t care.

Bluetooth is always supposed to be backwards compatible but, yeah, that’s not iPhone owners experience.

Our series 2 BT still works but not how it was designed to work.

I can only guess, this issue will be similar.

Yeah IOS 8 caused major issues with Bluetooth. They since fixed it and now I fear its screwed again

Everyone seem all doom and gloom because Apple aren’t going to care about an obsolete headunit in a car that made up stuff all sales of all cars sold globally.

Lets not forget though that bluetooth does have standard protocols and thanks to CarPlay, Apple probably has the majority of car makers on the books as paying customers. I cant imagine those paying customers are going to let Apple get away with software that does not work with the new cars in their show rooms

Today apple just replaced my iPhone 11 Pro, because the update 14.4 to fix the Bluetooth issues with Holden made more problems with the phone’s software, I had emails opening on already read emails and volume control issues , they did not hesitate in replacing the phone
