ummm lol when I installed the headunit the car wasnt even on the road then and I didnt have the internet back then 
I just ran a cable to the battery assuming all was good... and has still been all good since day one of the installation. I have never had any problems with fuses blowing or the wires catching fire... and back then I didnt even think to look at the fuses and try and see which ones where battery and which ones werent... either way I dont really want to worry about it untill it happens. Might be a stupid plan but anyway.
