hey guys, a mate of mine purchased a block off a guy on ebay and he just wants to make sure its an rb30et block, not an rb30e

is there any way of telling it is a different block, ie as far as i know the n/a have normal oil slingers but the turbo blocks have squirters . is this true.

can you tell by engine number

cheers :)

What you want is a series 2 block, not series 1.

A8 is turbo

you just need a series 2 bock with the fittings in the side of the block of oil and coolant lines to the turbo

theres a small one and a big one at the back of the block (exhaust side) and 2 roughly in the middle also on the exhaust side

isn't the only difference between a a8 and a a6 the low compression pistons? and the oil and coolant lines missing if its a a6 series one. any other differences like oil pump or anything? lots of rumours and **** get around, i want it to be cleared up by someone in the know
