Vu ute
Hi guys noticed whilst in the car when accelerating there is a hissing noise in my vu ute that seems to be coming from the left hand side of dash, it doesn't affect the motor at all when driving just annoying. Any ideas what it could be? has anyone else had the same issue

Probably a leak in the A/C vacuum control system.

Fairly common problem unfortunately.

Could be, ours made some strange noises when it was low on refrigerant.

The vacuum control module looks like this

And can be found under the dash on the passenger side.

Is there any pipes that are accessible around that area or that plug into the rear of the module

Yes, all the vacuum lines plug into the back of this module.

Could be the purge hose.
Usually slips off the TB or cracks and causes a hiss.

If it is I replaced mine with fuel hose from supercheap.
Took care of the hiss.
