Hi everyone, I’ve got a 2001 Holden VX Commodore v6 (ecotec l36)
I’ve got the full mace stage 2 cam kit package installed an it dyno tuned to 98 ect it ran 160kw on the dyno. I’ve just installed an oil pressure gauge wondering at idle on cold it’ll run between 60-70psi an when warm idling at lights ect it’ll idle between 40-50 when hot.

That sounds about right, what oil grade do you run?

That should be fine. You could try a 10w-40 which will probably drop those numbers a bit but going off those numbers that engine seems healthy on the bottom end.

That extra ten oil behaves like it's a 10w-60 in reality.

Ok thanks, I believe the oil is for 10-40 & 10-50 from what I researched on it.

Factory recommended is 10w-30. 10w-40 is my preferred flavor for these engines.
