np thanks man, I went to autobahn now and got the vt plug to the black and brown plug. then got another that goes from the brown black to jvc plug for the headunit. Although the the acualy plug that goes into the headunit is too big for my jvc headunit I assume my new headunit was old stock with a differnt type of plug. what should I do now? maybe I should just return these harnesses and do it the hard way with the original harness I got.

Sounds like your trying to really get an easy way out.

Make up a patch loom.. As Ephect has previously stated an explained, Re-read the thread please.

can u post up pics of both plugs n harnesses. What im thinking is if the harnesses are cheapish then hack them up if they dont fit.

post up pics n that will give me a clearer understanding :) maybe even the plug at the back of ur jvc and the plug with wires that came with the headunit.

Would of taken 5mins to solder up a patch harness...
You waste more time thinking of what to post to make things easier.

well sorry for not knowing how to mate,I'd rather take some more time in posting questions than solder it all up and then finding out it dosent work.
Heres the photos ephect. Can you see one of the white plugs has some more pins in it not sure which one I should use.

Where is the image of your orignal JVC harness? For YOUR headunit.

You have 2 VT harnesses pictures & 1 older style JVC plug.
