My suggested method would be to put LPG Diamond stickers on the front and rear number plates, that way they would be like nah no point, this car has got LPG and they cannot siphon LPG anyways
However on a more serious note, its illegal to do such a thing, but maybe a last resort?

That wont work, but if you throw down one of those steel front door matts on the ground infront of the fuel door, and hook the blue wire to that and hook the brown wire to the car body, that may have the desired effect.

But i didnt tell you that either....

think you would find that would cause a dead short-blowing a fuse/trip breaker

personally I still prefer the alarm, or a pitbull chained to the rear drivers side wheel.

shave the filler off and repaint it all, etc, etc relocate it to inside the boot.

Oh and the spark will occur at the terminals on the switch, depending on the type it is possible to isolate it to a non petrol vapor area. that and fire hazord safe electrical equipment is also available.

I would go the spring. You can still get them. Fitting it is another matter as I don't think the unleaded flap can be removed. You can fit it from the bottom I suppose, undo the rubber hose, pull the neck out of the car and put the spring in from the bottom.

The little flap in the filler is so only the unleaded nozzle fits in. You can still get a hose in there but it's a bastard to get out.
