I had to change mine on a long weekend so I used a spar eone I had at home. The cork gasket I just used stag jointing paste on an old gasket and put a bit on the bolts as well. It didn't leak at all.
It's also better to try and syphon your tank out as if you let it run out the hole in the tank it can disolve all the tar that's painted on the tank under the silver foil to stop the straps wearing a hole in the tank.
Last new fuel pump I bough twas genuine, it was DELPHI and I got the pupm, strainer and gasket from a local dealership for about $100.00, another dealer wanted $170.00
