hey guys,

took my spoiler off today and it had some of the residue, it was pretty hard, wouldnt come off with anything. i could scrape it with nails. but i used a 2000 grit wet/dry sand paper.

it turned out like in the pic below.

i already polished and waxed made it a bit better.

any ideas?

cheers

If you are planning on getting your holes welded up you will need a respray anyway.
Or you could put the wing back on and sell it and buy an Omega boot lid.
Or maybe you could get a respray of only clean coat but you would still have the holes.

Needs more polishing.

2000 grit marks will come out reasonably easily, so long as their even and not THROUGH the clear. But you will definitely need machine polishing to correct that. You won't do it by hand.

If you don't have access to a decent machine polisher, run the car down to Hamish at Elite Finish. He'll be able to suss out for you what is needed.

speak to hamish at elite finish in somerton park. that shouldnt take too long to wet sand your sanding marks out then machine polish the new sanding marks out......no need to respray that

your kidding arent you? its 20 minutes from adelaide.....how close do you want it? i know i would be willing to drive that for the quality of work he does.

i could almost garentee it would take less time to go out there, get hamish to do it while you wait and drive home then it will for you to pick up mates polisher, set up to do the job, do some trial and error, pre soak the wet n dry to sand out the marks, compound it, polish it, then finish it. thats providing you or your mate has all the pads and polishes required to do the job properly
