Well to install it is pretty easy, all you need to do is splice into a wire or 2 and bobs your uncle.
However if you are not confident with wires, i suggest you get it down by an auto electrican.
I can also do this for anyone within brissie for a fee.
Tools required:
Phillips head screwdriver
Soldering iron + solder
electrical tape
Wire cutters
Heres a link thats pretty much the same for a VX, apart from the top screws are not there on the top part of the dash.
Also there are 3 screws down the bottom of the dash when you drop the fuze cover down (and 2 at the top of the instrument cluster).

Then there are 2 x screws holding in the instrument cluster, un screw them and then unclip the plug at the back of the cluster.
Now the dials have a positive and a ground, to make sure you dont flatten the battery, do not splice into the 12v wire but the ignition switch wire (means that it only turns on when you flick the ignition).
Ignition wire is pink/blue
Ground is black/yellow
Solder wires together and then cover with electrical tape.
Pic of what it looks like in the daytime.
Also the dials has a converter box, it fits snugly to the left of the traction button.
Sorry about not having too many pics, the how-to was an afterthought.
Anyway any questions let me know.
