Hi
The corrugated section on the filler pipe on my 2007 VE Berlina has split and any water poured into it leaks out before it gets to the storage bottle.
Ive seen a few posts with people complaining about this happening and the hassle to fit a replacement.
I've bought a replacement hose for $23.
Then my local dealer quoted me 2 hrs of labour at $150/hr to fit it. Is it that hard?
Any suggestions on how to fit it without dismantling the right side front end of the car?
Or any other suggestions on how to fix it the leak without having to install a replacement part?
Thanks...Matt

Undo the 10mm bolt just below the blue fill cap.
Take the lid off the airbox and move it out of the way to give yourself more room
Follow the neck down with your hand until you feel it meet the bottle
Grab hold and pull/twist it out
Take the old corrugated section off and put the new one on the neck
Grease up the part that goes into the bottle
Line it up with the hole and push it in
Do bolt up
Put Airbox lid on
Fill with water

Drink Beer.

Thanks Sabbath!
that was quick advice which i just followed to the "t".
Perfect! took 10 minutes - confirms my belief that my local dealer's service dept is dodgy1
BTW the whole pipe now comes as one piece - the corrugated bit isnt sold separately now).
oh & yes...beer in hand!
Cheers

Wondering if that fix would help me.

I have a Jan-2008 VE Calais V V8. Water leaks out of the windscreen washer system somewhere - but I don't know exactly where... I think on the driver's side at the front corner. The blue cap on the filler is on the LHS (passenger side).

Do you think replacing the flexible hose at the filler will help? Or is there some other likely place to check?

What happens now, is I top up the windscreen washer water and it will all leak out - so soon enough it is empty.

I fixed my corrugated pipe using a spare flex clear tube from my fish tank pump. Fitted nice and tight into the neck and the bottle. 4 months now and not a single leak. Washer works great all the time. That tube would've cost me a buck. Happy.

My windscreen bottle is leaking from the neck of the filler. I assume I might need to follow the same steps and purchase just the neck if possible. Or Will do a diy on it :). I ain't gonna let those apprentices at Holden touch my car. Holden has a mixture of mechanics and thieves at various dealers around the nation working on people's cars and charging them hundreds and even thousands for piss ant little jobs.
