no it will fit in. i did mine abd it's a one peice. didnt undo the shox but probly will help. just put the stands on either side of the axel.

Just wanted to say that tip about using a jack to crack the cat bolts was gold!

Just make sure you put a block of wood above the bolts so the whole exhaust doesn't get lifted and all force gets applied to the bolt.
