Ipod connection

I have a 2004 VZ Berlina and i want to be able to play my ipod/iphone through an auxiliary cable but there in no plug for it. is there a way to have the cable to be permanently attached to the back of the head unit?? If an audio store can do this (autobarn, supercheap or whatever) what is it called?? and how long would it take??
