Hey all, we are putting a knock sensor & memcal in my mates VP V8 & were wondering if this is the right location for the sensor? I would check on my car but it is at home.

Also, is there water or oil behind the bolt?

*EDIT*

Forgot to add photo, sorry....:bang:

There is water behind it, yes. It's hard to tell where that photo is of but it goes on the drivers side from factory just above where the sump meets the block. If the car has aftermarket extractors (like mine) you will normally find you can't get it in tho.

Cheers AirStrike, yes it is on the drivers side & it has VP HSV headers fitted to it aswell. Is that metal plate on the header like a sheild for the sensor?

They came fitted with a metal boot from factory that covered the sensor and a decent part of the wiring. I still need to get one for mine, ill post the part number in the morning mate.
