The hoses are the same (VE - L98 - LS3). They come as a 2 piece setup and cost more than $20.

2006 - 2009 VE L98/LS3 Part No. 92233974 (rear half - to firewall) $57 retail, $45.15 trade. Part No. 92233978 (front half - from pump) $47 retail, $37 trade.

2010 - 2012 (current part) VE L77/LS3 Part No. 92252957 (rear half - to firewall) $38 retail, $30 trade. Part No. 92252956 (front half - from pump) $29.70 retail, $23.65 trade.

The other alternative is to change the hoses altogether and use the VK commodore one peice hoses. You will need to trim (make them shorter) cost would be around that $20 mark.. Or you can use the VZ hoses (more than $20), however you will need fluid joiners and clamps. This is what I did to my old SSV when I had an engine change...

Knowing the L98 and LS3 use the same, what about the LS2?

All variants L98 to LS3 (includes LS2) build dates 2006 to 2009 use the same part.

The part numbers changed from 2010 to current year however the hoses are the same design. The change in part numbers can just signify a change in supplier rather than part design.

Thanks for the info mate. I jsut confirmed myself by checking the Mackay Hose website and they list the same part numbers for the hoses for L98, LS2 and LS3.

So for anyone who has the same question in future:

L98/LS2/LS3 use the same heater hoses and coolant hoses.

:)

Cheers.
