Hey guys, first post here so hopefully I get some results :)

I've bought a P3-2X12 Rockford Fosgate loaded enclosure. It's 2400 watt max and 1200 watt RMS @ 1ohm internally parallel. I have a Hifonic BRZ 1.1200 for the amp which runs stable 1ohm.

The car is a 2011 SV6 Series II Sportswagon.

I am running it off the rear door speakers, to a LOC and then to the amp from the LOC.

Just wondering, would I need a fuse between the battery and the amp, if so how many amps would the fuse need to be.

Also, where do I run the remote wire from for the amp?

If you guys needs anymore information just ask :) Hopefully I've given enough.

P.s Don't be shy about pictures, it's makes things alot easier :) thanks

Thanks,
Jamie

You always need a fuse between the battery and amp. Not sure about the remote wire.

No need for a fuse for the remote wire. Only need a fuse for the power cable and amps.

yes run a inline fuse in the cable as close to the battery as possible.

remote wire from the amp to the remote wire on the head unit, or run it anywhere that has a signal when the head unit is on, e.g. electric mirrors,
something that alwase has power when the key is turned

best bet it to go from the back of the head unit.

Err it's a VE. They don't come with a remote output on the back of the headunit.

Thanks for all the help guys I'll definitely put a fuse between the amp and battery.

Just wondering what wire I need to connect to the remote port on my amp now

Thanks,
Jamie

I don't know what people do in VE's usually, no doubt someone with more experience will post but pretty much any cable that has power when the ignition is on/no power when the ignition is off. Technically, you would want it to go on/off with the factory headunit, but any switched power is ok really.

Guys got it all setup thanks for the helpful comments :) I used Brown wire under dash for remote :) and I put a 150A fuse between the battery and amp.
